Cousins but more like brothers

I write a lot about my nephew. He is just as much mine as my own children. He has started calling me Tee Tee Mama! Jamie (RJ) thinks Jaden is the best. He follows him around trying to do what ever Jaden is doing. I think Jaden loves the attention. Jamie waits anxiously for the bus to come home in the afternoon. As soon as that bus rounds the corner the clapping and screaming is almost deafening. His playmate/best friend/brother/cousin is home. When Jamie comes over Jaden is equally excited to have him to play with/ boss around. I hope it is always this way. Everyone needs a brother!

By the way Jamie decided we all needed to have a concert. Here are his cute fat fingers on the piano.

Ebony Affair

On Saturday night I had the honor of attending and photographing the 14th Annual Virginia Tech Ebony Affair. They honored men and women who have helped to make our community better. Everyone clearly had a great time. Here are some of the pictures from the night.

The highlight of the night was when the event coordinator got a surprise proposal on stage.

New Site ... New Path

I finally stepped out and built a quick web site. I am keeping this blog for now. I am a bit nervous about where this photography road is going to take me. I have the faith that God has paved this road for me. I just have to stay on the path.

Little Miracle

I had the honor of meeting a beautiful little boy today who is truly a miracle. His name is Alex. He was born January 11 weighing 1 lb 14.6 oz. He is quite the little fighter. Alex was born 12 week early. He has grown so much in a few short weeks. I was able to capture a few shots for his parents to show him one day. Here is my new favorite person, Alex.

Sisters are the best

I love it when I meet sisters who have the same age difference as my sister and I. Sweet baby K came back for another photo shoot and this time she brought her beautiful sister with her. I have known D since she was born. It is so obvious how much she loves her new sister. Here are a few sneak peeks for their parents.

I Heart Faces

I am not one who enters photo challenges but I could not pass this one up. The challenge is to post a picture showing innocent wonder. Well I had the perfect picture to show that. It is the one of my nephew I took back in the fall. We were playing in the leaves and he was so excited about each leaf that fell. It was so fun watching him experience Fall in his own way. Angel Baby

Meet baby girl Fleenor

She is such an angel baby. I absolutely loved playing with her. I think I could sit and hold
K all day long. She loves cuddling. She was not so interested in sleeping for this photo shoot. I have known her daddy for over 12 years. It was an honor to have the opportunity to photograph her. I thought I would give K's awesome mom and dad a sneak peek of the shoot.
