Happiness is...

I'm a bit late on posting lately. Let's just say life has gotten a bit on the busy side.

I would normally say happiness is family... my God... but this week I have to say happiness is friends who are like family. One of my "extra adopted" children is getting married. We had a shower for her. Can I just say I had the best time. So happiness IS family. Here are a few pictures from that bit of happiness:

I have discovered how much photography makes me happy. I have some friends who chosen to make me their family photographer. This is such an honor to me. I get to watch their kids grow through the lens of my camera. Here are a couple of pictures of their little piece of happiness, Danielle.

K Family

I love having the opportunity to take pictures of friends. The K family holds a special place in my heart. The dad and I became friends through my volunteer work with the rescue squad. The mom and I became friends through church. Their sweet little girl was a complete natural in front of the camera. I have a feeling I will be taking more pictures of her. The newest edition to the family is just adorable. He was so good even though we moved him all around. Here are a few pictures from our shoot.

New Beginnings: Officially a toddler

I am taking part in a photography challenge project this year. The theme for this month is "New Beginning"! Baby K is perfect to feature this month. She just turned 1 on January 2. She is officially a toddler. Here are her first birthday portraits:

Playing Catch up!

Wow, so much as happened since I last posted. We have had the kids out of school, a child with an emergency appendectomy, stomach viruses Christmas weekend, the holidays, and a trip to Disney World. Some how in the middle of that I was able to get in a few photo shoots. Here is a recap of my last shoots for 2011.

Christmas time with the W family

I'm in Texas right now enjoying the heat. My family, however, have been at home "enjoying" the snow.  Frankly I like the warm air much more. I am a Texan. While here I am doing some photo shoots for my best friend and her friends. Yesterday I hung out with the W family. They have such a great bond. That little one makes me wanna squeeze him. The sweet little princess has an infectious smile. Here are a few sneak peeks at our time together.
